Digital agencies' best practices about modern web development, digital and inbound marketing.
1ST & 2nd December, Team Monks attended the WordCamp Ahmedabad 2018. Monks are glad to be a part of world’s largest open source community meetup- WordCamp.
This year’s WordCamp Ahmedabad was full of great speakers, interesting sessions, and lots of enthusiastic attendees. The WC Ahmedabad saw 1000+ attendees, 30 speakers, 40 sponsors, and 150 contributors.
WordCamps are always special and we take our pride in being a silver sponsor at WordCamp Ahmedabad 2018. The Monks were hanging at our sponsor booth spreading the words about our contests: ‘WordPress Quiz’ and ‘Selfie with Monk’.

Many of our team members were volunteers at the event and helped conduct WordCamp event. One of our team members, Mithun Raval, delivered an informative session on WordPress with IoT- how smart devices like mobile, TV, watch can be connected to the Internet by developing WordPress applications.

The other important sessions at WordCamp Ahmedabad included Opportunities as a Plugin Developer and Business Challenges and Opportunities with Gutenberg followed by a Panel Discussion- WordPress K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham).
Our Managing Director, Mr. Jaymin Bhuptani was the panellist and he described how a WordPress agency can grow its business in the fully matured WordPress market.

Our sponsor’s booth was brimming with people approaching us for participating in the contests- ‘Selfie with Monk’ and ‘WordPress Quiz’. More than 200 WordPressers captured selfie with the Monk to grab a cool Tee-shirt with the slogan- ‘The Great Indian Coder’.

However, the WordPress quiz contest has exciting prizes of smart television, smart phone, JBL speaker, hard disk and wrist band. Team Monks interacted with other WordCampers and share experiences with each-other.

At the end, it was time to give back to the WordPress by contributing to the WordPress core, which opens opportunities for both agencies and developers.
The venue was spacious and the food at the event was decent and had so much variety. We were delighted at how well this event was prepared for and how smoothly it was carried out.
Kudos to the WordCamp organisers.
